The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
The USDA, the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families-Office of Economic Opportunity, food banks, and food shelves work together to administer Minnesota’s TEFAP program (The Emergency Food Assistance Program). A total of 22.8 million pounds of USDA foods valued at $29.4 million were distributed in 2024.
