Cultural Collaboration Grant

The Cultural Collaboration Grant (CC Grant) is a competitive grant whose aim is to support non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status and Tribal Nations to improve food program services to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities. Potential grantees must participate in TEFAP and be located outside of the 7-county metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington).

The total distribution funding for the CC Grant in 2024 is $160,000, with a maximum award of $10,000 per approved applicant. Non-profit organizations and Tribal Nations with food shelves and/or mobile programs are eligible to apply for one Cultural Collaboration grant for up to $10,000, regardless of the number of food shelf or mobile food programs they operate. Applications may be fully or partially funded. Hunger Solutions Minnesota will distribute funds on behalf of DCYF-OEO in late 2024.

The grant application requires a budget narrative. There are PDF and Excel versions of a budget narrative example and template for food shelves to download and use, but the budget narrative may be submitted in any format.
