Thanks to our donors, we’ve been able to get nearly a million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables out to food shelves across the state. Through our HelpLine, we’ve helped thousands of families and seniors find emergency food and enroll in public nutrition programs. We’ve distributed more than one million dollars in grants to food shelves so far this year, and we’re working every day to advocate for better, smarter solutions to hunger and poverty in our state.
February is typically the slowest month of the year for the Eagan Resource Center’s food shelf. But this month, Eagan Resource Center Director Lisa Horn isn’t expecting any slowdown.
That’s because the number of users accessing the food shelf has grown explosively over the last two years, Horn said.
