St. Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP) Food Shelf
STEP provides curbside food appointments to any individual or family in need of food assistance, as well as limited in-person shopping for participants enrolled in other STEP services. All services are confidential and delivered by licensed social workers and STEP volunteers. Clients can call 952-925-4899 to make a food appointment. Up to two weeks’ worth of groceries are provided per visit.
STEP provides other wrap-around services to those living in St. Louis Park. Kosher products are available for households who keep kosher, and an additional grocery store gift card for meat for Shabbat is provided.
A homebound individual or someone recovering from a medical procedure may request STEP provide a food delivery. Those requesting this service must be assessed by a STEP social worker. An exception will be made for those referred by an emergency responder or hospital social worker. STEP can only provide this service once each month and is limited to St. Louis Park residents only. Please call 952-925-4899 and ask to speak to a STEP social worker.
