Open Your Heart Summer Challenge Grant 2016
Help your local food shelf fill empty plates this summer!
In Minnesota, summer means trips to the lake, long bike rides, and fresh produce. But many Minnesota families can’t afford weekly trips to the farmer’s market for fruits and vegetables. Food shelves help provide nutritious fruits and vegetables to these families and they need your help this summer.
Donations to participating food shelves in July will be proportionately matched by Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless. Last year, food shelves raised $1.5 million in food and funding to help end hunger in their communities.
