As recession plods on, more in Minnesota seek food support

The recession has led a growing number of Central Minnesota families to seek help from food stamps and other safety net programs.

Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties have all seen substantial caseload increases in food support — commonly called food stamps — as well as cash assistance and health care.
