Gerber Baby Food Use By Information

If you’ve always wondered whether or not it is safe to give out Gerber Baby Food Products past the better if use by date, here is a message from the Gerber Products Company in Fremont, Michigan.

“Our products may be distributed up to six months past the better if use by date. We do expect some color and flavor degradation once the product has gone past the indicated better if use by date. It is strongly recommended that the final consumer of the product is made aware that they are receiving product that is past the better if use by date. The above is true of our products packed in glass. We do not recommend distributing products in plastic more than three months past the better if use by date, as the color and flavor may not be acceptable. The product will be safe and wholesome as long as the safety seals are intact on the containers.“
