Mark Your Calendars for a Very Special HSM Event

Please consider joining us on Thursday, July 17th, 2008 for a fun-filled and informative HSM event at Black Bear Crossings on Como Lake in St. Paul.

Hunger Solutions Minnesota Member Resource Fair
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-to-one with many vendors hoping to provide unique and innovative information, resources and/or products and introduce services that will assist you in providing the most efficient, respectful service as possible to hungry Minnesotans. Lunch for Resource Fair Attendees will be provided by HSM from 12:00-12:30 p.m.

Voice of Hunger Rally
12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
We will end the day on the promenade of the pavilion, facing Como Lake, with a Voice of Hunger Rally. Our keynote speaker will be Former Senator, Presidential Nominee, and World War II Bomber Pilot, George McGovern. McGovern’s book, The Third Freedom: Ending Hunger in Our Time, discusses the ongoing problem with hunger in our world. Defining it as a political condition, McGovern discusses that it is a greater moral imperative than ever before because for the first time, humanity has the tools and the knowledge to defeat this ancient enemy.

Invitations will be mailed mid-June. Contact Cathy Patterson with any questions at cpatterson@hungersolutions.org.
