Food Access Summit: Expanding Opportunities for low-income Minnesotans
SAVE THE DATE: August 21-23, 2012 – Duluth Entertainment Convention CenterSponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Greater Twin Cities United Way, Hunger Solutions Minnesota, Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Minnesota Department of Human Services, Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota FoodShare, Twin Cities Hunger Initiative, University of Minnesota Extension How can we work together to increase access to healthy food for low-income Minnesotans? What are the health and economic benefits of a healthy food system? This statewide summit will provide information and action-oriented ideas on how food policy, food systems and food literacy impact low-income Minnesotans. Participants will learn about barriers to healthy food for low-income Minnesotans and share perspectives from a variety of sectors. Who should attend?
