the Eagan Resource Center Board of Directors and Staff are planning for the expansion of our operations to a facility within the Cedarvale Business Center, just one block away from our current location. This expansion would allow the organization to maintain the facility at 3910 Rahn Road for the client intakes, resource center and staff offices, while the new location would serve as the food pantry. And, Yes! It IS one level! If all proceeds as planned, we hope to move into the new 3,200 square foot facility before the Holidays.

Second, the Eagan Resource Center has responded to community need and is opening a satellite food shelf in Lakeville. The space is located in downtown Lakeville in the Holyoke Crossing Mall, in the same building as the Post Office. The Lakeville Resource Center will provide food support and resource referrals for approximately 200 families from Lakeville, Farmington, Rosemount, Apple Valley and Burnsville. A leadership team of 20 volunteers is established and excited to open the doors by October 1st.

Within a year, both facilities combined are expected to provide food support for over 800 Dakota County families each month. Our mission: The Eagan and Lakeville Resource Centers exist to serve those in need and to eliminate hunger in Dakota County. It’s what we do. And, together, we do it with excellence.
