Meet HSM Staff Person, James Redmond

During 2009, to help you get to know HSM better, a staff or board member will be introduced in each newsletter. In this edition, please meet HSM staff person, James Redmond:

• When did you start working at HSM and what do you do?
  “August 2006. I manage the grants program, the statistics, and the Government Relations.”

• What did you do prior to joining the staff at HSM?
  “I worked in a number of government positions.”

• What is your favorite part of your job?
  “My coworkers.”

• What is your biggest frustration when it comes to your job?
  “Missing statistics.”

• What do you like to do outside of work?
  “Cycling and other outdoor activities.”

James is a vital part of HSM’s presence on behalf of hungry Minnesotans at the legislature. Most days during session, he can be found at the Capitol. James’ diligence and hard work was integral to the supplemental funds that Hunger Solutions distributed to food shelves in 2008.
