HSM Emergency Grants Available

Hunger Solutions Minnesota is entrusted with $30,000 in state funds each fiscal year. These funds are designated for food shelves in Minnesota that are experiencing an emergency. Your organization may qualify for an HSM Emergency Grant if at your food shelf, you’ve recently experienced any one of the following:

• Undergone a dramatic rise in service statistics
• Been forced to reduce the number of days open to clients
• Decreased the number of pounds given per person per visit
• Experienced an unexpected expense like the repair or replacement of a piece of equipment

The HSM Emergency Grant Application is two pages in length and has been created specifically for you to explain your situation without being overwhelmed with paperwork. Applications are accepted at any time during the year. The maximum grant awarded is $5000 and typically, the process takes less than a month.
