Hunger Solutions works to fight hunger in Minnesota at every level.
- We work to solve the problems of today by getting food to those who need it. Our work to administer the state’s federal commodities program will bring more than six million pounds of commodity food to Minnesota’s food shelves and meal programs this year, and our donors will help us provide another million pounds of fresh produce to those in need.
- We also ensure that effective help will be there tomorrow for those in need by providing our members with the funds, equipment, and training that they need to serve their communities.
- We are investing in long-term solutions to end hunger in the years to come by bolstering the power and self-sufficiency of families in need.
Only 68% of Minnesotans who are eligible for food stamps are currently enrolled – our Voice of Hunger Network will work to eliminate barriers to this vital program.
By getting more eligible Minnesotans enrolled in public nutrition programs, we can help families get the assistance that they need and also bring in millions of additional dollars into the state’s economy.
