A program that solicits and receives prepared and/or perishable foods pursuant to its local health department and/or appropriate regulatory standards. This food is distributed to agencies which, in turn, provide the food to needy clients through various types of programs. Two of these programs in Minnesota are Twelve Baskets through Second Harvest Heartland and All Seasons Food Rescue through EFN.
